Each child is very important to the staff of this school so please communicate any queries or concerns that you might have to the School Principal.

At Kids Christian Academy your child will receive personal care and attention and excellent education.

THE PARENTS’ SUPPORT IN THE FOLLOWING IS MOST IMPORTANT.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES

This is a serious matter – school fee money must be paid by the set date which is the second day of every month.  Please note that your child may be sent home if school fees have not been paid and the parent has not contacted the office.  If you experience difficulty in this matter please come to the school immediately to discuss your problem. We want your child to remain at the school

APPLICATION FORMS

An application form and registration fee is required for each child entering the school, together with a copy of each child’s birth certificate and clinic card.
At the end of each year a new application form and registration fee is required to enrol your child for the following year.

IMPORTANT : We cannot keep a place for your child if you have not complied with the above.

OFFICE HOURS FOR PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES

07h00 to 17h00 daily.

INDEMNITY FORM

An indemnity must be completed before your child will be allowed on any outing.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE

ARRIVAL: Children to arrive between 07h00 and 08h00 each day. If your child arrives late he/she will disrupt the programme.

COLLECTION

Children may be collected between 16h45 and 17h00.  R20 fee for late parents!!!

TRANSPORT

The school does not supply school transport, however we do have independent people that will assist if transport is needed.  The school cannot be held reliable for any child once the child has left the centre.

SICKNESS

The school must be notified if your child contracts a contagious illness, e.g. MUMPS, MEASLES, GERMAN MEASLES, CHICKEN-POX, HEPATITIS.

NOTEBOOKS

Check daily for letters in your child’s communication book, and sign each time.  Parents and teachers should use this book to write contact messages. Children must keep their books clean and tidy!

MONEY RECEIPTS: Receipts for money received and listed payments are kept at the back of the child’s communication book.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Each child should bring the following:

A carry bag, marked with his/her name. Extra clothing each day for younger children.
A packed  snack and/ lunch as required.  Breakfast will be provided by the school.

DIET

Snack and lunch : Pack healthy meals. Please note that  CHIPS, CAKES OR SWEETS, FIZZY DRINKS (Coke, etc) are not allowed as they have very little nutritional  value. Rather pack a protein sandwich, fruit and a healthy cool drink.

CLOTHING

Please ensure that if your child is to wear a skirt or a dress, shorts or tights are to be worn under the skirt.

EARLY LEARNING CENTRE

Children must be suitably dressed. At school the children will be encouraged to remove their shoes and warm jackets when the weather is suited to this. Please provide your child with a hat or cap during the summer months.

Important: please remove all drawstrings from your children’s jackets, tracksuits and clothing as these put the child’s safety at risk when climbing on outdoor apparatus. All clothing should be marked with the child’s name.

BIRTHDAYS

Birthdays are very special and we like the parent/caregiver to attend his/her child’s birthday class party.  If the birthday is over a weekend, please ask your child’s ECD practitioner which day she would like you to visit. If you are able to supply a cake or any other type of treat for this occasion it will be greatly appreciated.

APPOINTMENTS

Parents/caregivers are welcome to communicate with the staff after 12h45. Appointments with the school principal should also be made for after 12h45. Please do not interrupt lesson times. Should there be a concern about your child please do not hesitate to make an appointment. We are here to work in partnership with each family.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND CO-OPERATION WITH THE ABOVE INFORMATION
